About Me

Dana Haynes,LMFT

I was fortunate to know early on that my purpose was to help people navigate the complexities of life.I earned my Bachelor's in Psychology from Temple University, then went on to complete my Master of Science in Marital and Family Therapy — with Academic Distinction — from The Family Institute at Northwestern University. Over the past 13 years, I have worked as a licensed therapist across a range of settings, providing individual, couples, family, and group therapy to diverse communities.

Much of my career has been shaped by the intersection of grief, loss, and family. For over eight years, I served as a Senior Care Consultant and Support Group Program Manager at the Alzheimer's Association NYC Chapter, where I guided families through the profound grief of watching a loved one change, supported caregivers carrying invisible burdens, and built programs to reach communities that are too often underserved. That work deepened my understanding of grief in all its forms — not just death, but the long, layered losses that unfold over time.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in New York, and my approach is person-centered. We work together, at your pace, in a space that is warm, honest, and free of judgment.

It will always be a privilege to be part of someone's healing journey — and I don't take that lightly.
